It is true that we are in the midst of a terrible recession, all caught up in a storm of world financial crisis. Many of us have lost our jobs, and even more have taken a great cut in income. Yes it is a stressful time, yet there is a greater opportunity that I believe many are forgetting to take fully advantage of.
Since most people are now forced to purchase less then they normally do, it is very likely that people will now consider purchasing things that have both a longer life value, and more personal value. Nowadays we are all making more selective decisions on what to buy, and many are also beginning to consider the greater importance of the things we want to buy versus the significance of the things we really need.
I applaud all those who support local American Companies, Manufacturers, Artisans, Farmers and such. All those who support the purchase of local American goods are in my opinion singly most responsible for the result of an upcoming new wave of quality made goods that will become the new stronghold of American Manufacturing. Here Are 5 Reasons Why I Belie We Should Buy Local Hand Made American Products.
1- Most Hand Made goods are of a more qualitative nature, which means you will have them for years to come. If you are trying to save money, a better quality product, even at some extra cost, will eventually save you money in its keeping. *Remember that "Cheap is always expensive!"
2- Supporting your local craft, and hand made community will eventually benefit you greatly. How you might ask? Simple; the more people demand Hand Made products the more companies, or artisans will begin to make more hand made products. As the demand for more hand made goods increases, to feed the growing demand, a growth in new competition will follow. Now a more competitive market will also produce a greater selection and even more competitive pricing. The results are endless.
3- Why is buying things made locally more environmentally friendly? Most local artisans, craftsman, and manufacturers as well, typically use more local based resources. Environmentally; these companies aren't relying on much gas fueled shipping, and are using much less foreign harvested raw materials.
4- To Americans, American Made products are more spiritual in sync with all that we believe in. Filling our home with the so many foreign made, mass produced goods distances us from who it is we really are. Being surrounded by so many inconsistent energies hurts our consciousness and really lessens our overall spiritual experience.
If this seems to hard to understand; imagine a room full of sleek plastics, faux laminates, oversized and under worked furniture, an abundance of tech monstrosities, and terribly artificial lighting! Does that sound like a place you want to call home?
5- People make what people buy. If we buy junk, then junk is made for us to buy. If we all started to buy good hand made, or American made goods, then even the foreign goods will attain new qualities to satisfy our newly craving Hand Made desires.
I hope this helps you to stay motivated and inspires you to find success!
